While photographing this beautiful individual, I decided to focus my camera on the fish in their beak to offer a unique perspective of the life on Skomer. Perhaps it portrays the harsher side of nature, and how cute and lovable animals like puffins still have to hunt in order to survive. It emphasises the importance of animals such as sand eels in the circle of life, and how they will hopefully help raise a new addition to the puffin’s colony, who may then go on to have young of their own.
