Image was taken with a tripod, a remote shutter, inside a forest. I followed this bird for 5 years, studying it carefully, knowing its nest, its breeding periods, its hunting hours, and I waited patiently for the right moment! The fifth year I anticipated its arrival by camouflaging the photographic equipment with camouflage nets, branches and leaves. It' s a remote place, I was confident that nothing would happen. Hyperfocal, AF off and remote shutter did the rest

Born as a hiker and mountaineer, I have developed over time a deep love for nature photography. I work mainly in the Alps mountains but I also frequent river, hill and maritime environments. In recent years, aware of the extreme sensitivity of wild animals, I have been developing photographic techniques using wide angles lens and remote shutter. It's a technique that requires a lot of patience, but I put the welfare of wild animals before any personal ambitions.
I work with Nikon d5 equipment, I live in Monza and I love the extreme weather conditions how snowstorms and rainstorms.
