I woke up very early one spring morning in the hopes of capturing the common kingfisher. I arrived at the lake, and was preparing for a very long wait, but as I was setting up my gear, I spotted a flash of electric blue dart across the water. The kingfisher had arrived! The light was perfect and I love how the reeds behind are illuminated along with the outline of the kingfisher.
