At the dam’s backwaters, I was met with dull, cloudy weather—far from ideal for action shots. Shifting focus, I noticed small birds feeding and sat quietly in a nearby farm. Soon, a shrike perched at a distance. I slowly crawled closer, framing it through the crops. Just as I took the shot, a soft spill of light broke through the clouds, adding a delicate, watercolour-like touch to the scene.
